Harris Ginsberg

Harris Ginsberg returned to the creative arts after 30 years as a psychologist, initially in higher education and subsequently in the business world as Vice President of Executive Leadership and Talent Development at Pfizer, IBM, ADP, JPMorgan Chase and Colgate Palmolive. Initially trained in oil painting and water colors, Harris explored alternate media: silk-screening, needlepoint and pottery over the last three decades before discovering his passion for clay.

Inspired by natural colors and textures in Tuscan and Provencal landscapes, he reproduces the colors of the Mediterranean in his wheel thrown bowls and dishes.

Each one-of-a-kind hand-built shell captures the look and feel of the sand and sea from New England summers. Molten sea glass collected at the Connecticut shore complements some porcelain and stoneware shells. His hand-built leaves pay tribute to the scores of “leafers” who descend on New England in the autumn months to wonder at the natural color and sweeping landscapes.
